Bescrete Bescrete Blocks are cast in steel moulds onto steel pallets, compacted by vibration and then steam cured. At Besblock Ltd., we use the very highest precision machinery available in this field. This incorporates a uncontrolled vibration system which ensures a uniform density throughout the mould, giving a consistent test quality on every block. The texture of a standard Pumice block enables plaster to be applied directly without the need for a backing or bonding coat (British Gypsum Ltd).
Volcanic pumice has been used in construction long before the birth of Christianity. Many ancient Greek and Roman structures were made using pumice and some of these magnificent buildings can still be seen to this very day which is a true endorsement of the incredible durable properties of pumice.
